On this date, I had a meeting with my supervisor regarding my whole personal project. I discussed with my supervisor about my third movement of my sonatina and the feedback that I got from my supervisor was that the movement has the correct format and sounds good, and he told me that finally, my product is complete. Of course I was happy to hear this.
After that, my supervisor gave me a paper and a pencil. He told me to draw my booth and what I wanted to put on it and paste. After I sketched the imaginary booth, my supervisor said that I have to choose a good spot that will attract a lot of people to come to my booth. I told my supervisor that I would rather choose a hallway or inside a classroom because to be honest, I think that my project is not too 'big' and too 'fancy'.
I plan to bring my laptop and maybe my iPad for the survey, the booklet which includes my sonatina piece, an infra-board which includes the background information about my personal project and also an earphone so that people can hear my sonatina on the laptop as well. I planned to bring food into my booth but I think that people would come to my booth to just get the food but do not really take into account for my personal project so I decided not to.

April 6, 2015
This day is the day our term break ends and back to school day. During the term break, as promised to my supervisor, I completed my third piece, which is in total 107 bars, the most out of all my sonatina movements and ALMOST completed my personal project report. I managed to make around 1700-1800 words already but I haven't completely finished it. My supervisor was quite surprised that I could complete this much work in a short while, which was on the term break but I told him that I worked really hard to make progress on my personal project and complete it.
For the report, I think that I would rather complete it after my Personal Project Exhibition so that on the report, I can include the events that happened or occurred during the Personal Project Exhibition. I think that my report would be approximately 2100-2300 words including the bibliography and appendix.
I will meet my supervisor this coming April 10 for the discussion of my whole personal project progress and also about my decorations for my booth on the exhibition, which is this coming April 14 and April 15.

On this date, I discussed with my supervisor about the third movement of my sonatina. I was supposed to meet my supervisor last week but he was unavailable at that time so we decided to have a meeting on this date. I knew that the Personal Project Exhibition date is coming near, which is on the 14th and 15th of April. Knowing this, I had to speed up the progress for my personal project and also not to forget to complete the Personal Project Report, as well as the process journal.
Back to my product, I was able to continue my third movement of the sonatina until bar 45. It took quite a long time but luckily I did not have a lot of homework for this week because the teachers understood us that we have a personal project to do and so they give less or even no homework. I think that I am already halfway done for the sonatina. Also, my supervisor told me that I could not meet him next week and I knew that the term break was coming up, so my supervisor told me to complete my third and final piece during that timespan and also try to complete the report and process journal.

On this date, I have completely finished my second movement of my sonatina. In total it is 24 bars. To me, it may look quite short in the number of bars, however it was not mentioned on my criteria for the personal project, which is to just support beginner pianists who are just starting to get proficient with the piano.
I also met with my supervisor to discuss regarding my second movement of the sonatina and also the same case, he thinks that it is too short but also a good sounding piece, however I told him my reason and he accepted it. After that, he told me to continue with my third and final movement, which will be in a fast tempo because it is the final movement and the finale of my sonatina. The next time I meet with my supervisor, I am going to discuss again about my progress. For the third movement, I have started it and already created 8 bars.

On this date, I discussed with my supervisor about my first piece in the parts which he is concerned about. After a few modifications, my first sonatina is totally complete! I was supposed to meet my supervisor on last Tuesday but I could not make it, so it was postponed until today. My supervisor said to me that I am behind schedule and I was quite 'shocked' to hear it. Well actually it was true that I was behind schedule in my timeline so he told me that I have to make up the time. Before, I knew that the quantity of the pieces that I planned to make were too much because I also had school work, projects to do and it takes quite a lot of time so I reduced it into 2 or 3, but now I changed my mind again into 1 sonatina consisting of 3 parts.

On this date, I wanted to discuss with my supervisor about the progress of my personal project but I could not make it because the meeting time with my supervisor was at 12:45 PM, but since I have an SAT prep class at 1, I could not make the meeting with my supervisor, so instead I emailed my supervisor, attached are my progress and this blog website so that my teacher can evaluate my progress and give feedback on it. Soon after that, my supervisor provided feedback for my first piece and he said: "Not bad Tristan.. I think there is the 'Kuhlau' spirit in your sonata.. :) Will talk to you later personally about bar 62 - 69 ..on Monday or Tuesday". So next time I will discuss about bar 62-69 of my piece that my supervisor is concerned about.

I started again continuing my piece yesterday and on this date, I have finally completed my first piece for my sonatina. In total are 76 bars for the sonatina. I believe that this is quite a lot and I am satisfied with the quality of the work because I think that this piece is not too hard and not too easy for pianists to learn. I think that I am getting closer to achieving my goal, which is to support pianists in playing the piano.
